| Open Source is a calaborative neutral software development model based upon independent and corporate contributions. The many open source licenses permit users to modify code source for their particular needs. The contrasting Apache BSD license and the LGPL licenses are a quite contraversial topic. I take part in open source projects that provide the maximum freedom. As the BSD/Apache license allows entrepeneurial spirit it is my prefered license. The fact is even the largest code users come back to the collaborative model because it makes more sense. Philip is the author of XMLBeans vxsdb example, Velocity XMLBeans, http://xmlbeans.apache.org/samples/vxsdb.html an xml schema to database schema utility. Mr Donaghy also participates in other BSD, and Apache projects. He is currently working as a independent consultant on Apache Portals Jetspeed, AndroMDA, and MapServer projects.
